EGE CIRCLEBACK Ege Carpets pledges to facilitate take-back of the following broadloom carpets* within Europe: • Highline 1100 wt • Highline 910 wt • Eco Pro wt • Eco Compact wt • ReForm Memory wt • ReForm Transition wt • ReForm Radiant wt • ReForm Construction wt • ReForm Heritage wt • ReForm A New Wave wt *For all carpets produced from April 2023. Please refer to your invoice to see if your carpet is covered by the program. All carpets eligible for the take back program will be marked with two logos on the back of the carpet. Please check for this marking before you proceed with the program. The customer is responsible for preparing the shipment according to the instructions below. Any non-conforming loads will either be subject to further handling at cost of the customer or be disqualified for recycling. The cost of disposal of disqualified loads will also fall on the customer. How do I start the process? 1. Find a domestic handler that can transport the used carpet to the recycling facility. Ege Carpets is happy to recommend a partner that you can contact. 2. When you have accepted the quote and pick up date, you are ready to start recy- cling! 3. Before dismounting the carpet, make sure it is free from dirt and debris. 4. The carpet must be dismantled in approximately 35 cm strips. Be sure to check that the carpet is free from any underlay or other non-carpet material. Ege Carpets recommend using a carpet stripper (see picture below) to ease the job. 5. Ege Carpets recommend that you pack the used carpet in big bags (see picture below) stacked on pallets but be sure to check with your chosen logistics partner as they may have special requirements for the shipment. 6. Place the pallets in the pick-up location as agreed with your chosen logistics partner. 7. The carpet must be kept dry during the entire process, as the separation process does not function properly on damp or wet carpet. What happens then? Your chosen logistics partner will pick up your used carpet and transport it to our man- ufacturing site in Gram. From here, the used carpet will be sent to the separation plant where it will undergo several processes to separate the textile fractions from the other material fractions. The polyamide textile fraction will be processed into new yarn for carpet and other product uses. The polypropylene fraction will be recycled into other plastic materials such as underground piping. The 3rd fraction is a mix of latex and fillers which can be reused as filler in new production of our products. Once your used carpets have reached the recycling facility and the load has been accepted for recy- cling, Ege Carpets will issue a certificate to you. 1 Carpet stripper for easy removal of broadloom carpet Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about Ege CircleBack. 2 Big bag on pallet for easy transport of used carpet scraps
