Rules for employee election to the Board Election of employees to the Board is a right the Danish employees have according to Danish company law. The employee-elected Board members must represent the equivalent of half of the elected Board members of the annual general meeting. In addition substitute members equivalent to the number of employee-elected members are elected. The election is carried out through direct elections by written and secret voting. Each employee may cast a number of votes equal to half of the number of members to be elected and only one vote per candidate. Employees who are of legal age and who have been employed at egetæpper a/s the last 12 month before the election date, are eligible. Any employee with an age older than 15 years, who is employed at the time of preparing the electoral lists and still is employed when the election of the employee representatives is carried out, has the right to vote. At the time of the latest employee-election (31 May 2011) the number of the elected Board members of the general meeting resulted in the election of two employee-elected Board members.
