Targets for ege’s Board of Directors Adopted at the meeting of the Board of Directors in June 2013 With effect from 1 April 2013, the Folketing (Parliament) has decided that companies must consider whether there is an equal distribution of men and women in their supreme management bodies, typically the Board of Directors. The new legislation entails an obligation for ege to set targets for how we will achieve an equal representation of the two genders both in the Board of Directors and the Executive Management. ege’s Board of Directors has therefore set targets for this work, which will be included in the reporting for the 2013/2014 financial year. ege operates in a male-dominated industry, and is a relatively male-dominated company. It is difficult in practice to attract women to Board positions and management positions in the carpet industry. ege’s Board of Directors therefore believes that it will be an ambitious and realistic target within the next four years to maintain the current composition of the Board of Directors at 25% women and 75% men. The Board of Directors will also make an active effort to nominate women as candidates for the Board of Directors to a greater extent than before. In this way, in the longer term a more equal gender distribution of the Board of Directors can be achieved. On the expiry of the four-year period with the target of 25% female members, we will therefore set a new target for female members of ege’s Board of Directors. The target solely concerns the members of the Board of Directors elected by the Annual General Meeting. It does not concern the members elected by the employees.
